Everyone’s eyes turn toward the beach when those summer months come and we at Tara Outdoors are right along with you! But we don’t want to go to just any ol’ beach, we want the best beaches! So, here is a list of the top 7 beaches from around the world.
1. Kleopatra Beach, Alanya, Turkey
This gorgeous beach may get really busy over the summer, but that doesn’t mean you should avoid it! Kleopatra Beach has a lot to offer for your summer vacation. Not only can you lie out in the sun or swim in the gorgeous blue Mediterranean sea but there are plenty of restaurants, hotels, and other activities at or around the beach. Take a pirate boat trip, visit the Red Tower, the Old Shipyard and Alanya Castle. You can also check out Pirates Cave, Lovers Cave and Phosphorus Cave. Find these attractions and more at the Tours in Alanya website!
2. Clearwater Beach, Clearwater, Florida
If you prefer to spend your time in the States or at least on the Atlantic Ocean, head over to Clearwater Florida! Clearwater has a quaint small-town feel with gorgeous white sands and beautiful blue waters. Not only can you sunbathe or go swimming, you can also visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, go on boat tours, visit the numerous shops and restaurants, take a pirate cruise, and plenty more! It’s two hours away from Orlando so you could certainly stop by Disney World – but you won’t want to miss out on this adorable beach! To learn more, check out the Visit Florida website!
3. Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
We mentioned Grace Bay in our last post of fun water sports you can check out this summer, but did you know that Grace Bay was also rated one of the top beaches in 2018? You can find this little island surrounded by its bigger cousins The Bahamas, Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Not only does Grace Bay offer amazing white sands and turquoise waters, it is clean and pollution-free and features a barrier reef a mile away from the beach which forms a protective barrier against the ocean swells from the Atlantic. You can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, parasailing, a few restaurants and even some shops! If you want to find out more about this gorgeous island, check out the Turks and Caicos Island website!
4. Eagle Beach, Palm-Eagle Beach, Aruba
In the Caribbean Sea, you’ll find Eagle Beach which is part of Aruba. Some of the widest and cleanest beaches are found in Aruba and they are known for their powder-fine white sand. There is a beautiful fofoti (divi) tree, which you can see in the photo above, and it’s even a favorite nesting spot for sea turtles. Enjoy time in the sand or surf, or stay in one of the nearby resorts and relax your stress and cares away! Check out more about this gorgeous island at Visit Aruba!
5. White Beach, Boracay, Philippines
One of the biggest and most popular beaches in Boracay is the White Beach. Located off the Sulu Sea, White Beach features current-less waters (which means safe swimming), plenty of nightlife, and lots of restaurants with delicious food. Volleyball and soccer are popular outdoor activities here as well as swimming, surfing, and plenty more! If you want to know about hotels, nightclubs or other activities at White Beach, check out Boracay’s Compass beach guide!
6. Elafonissi Beach, Elafonissi, Greece
Although you will find white sand at Elafonissi Beach (or Treasure Island as it is also known), in some parts of it you’ll also find the unique pink sands featured in the image above which are caused by thousands of crushed shells. This beach is off the Mediterranean sea and has the typical, yet supremely gorgeous, turquoise waters of that area. Here you can lounge on the sand, play in the surf, roam over sand dunes and rocks, view endangered wildlife like the loggerhead sea turtle, and have plenty more to do for you and your family. There is historical sightseeing, restaurants with delectable dishes, and more fun things to do around the island. If you want to learn more check out the Cretan Beaches website!
7. Seven Mile Beach, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
The Grand Cayman island is known for its gorgeous beaches and Seven Mile Beach is no exception! Located on the Caribbean sea this beach is one of the best in the Caribbean with its gorgeous white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters! There are plenty of resorts, restaurants, and bars to suit any fancy, and you can check out a variety of things to do in the area including parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or the Seven Mile Shops, and more which you can view at the Visit Cayman Islands website.
